What DJI GO Is?

In today’s world, technology sits at the highest point of human inventions. The invention of the camera is still regarded as one of humankind’s best inventions. With time, this sophisticated machine grew smaller and now, converted into mobile apps. Instead of carrying around bulky cameras on your shoulder, you can fly around the drone camera which has become the newest trend among all the photography buffs. And for operating the flying camera, or the drone, there’s a simple yet powerful app available that goes by the name DJI GO. With the help of the DJI GO app, photography has become silky smooth. All you need to do is install this app on your iPhone/iPads or any of the Android Smartphones or tablets, and connect your drone to the app. And you can enjoy the experience of capturing and sharing beautiful images, all taken in HD formats. By unlocking the full potential of the DJI Go app, you can feed the photography bug that has been tickling you for years. Now, stop wasting time! Install this app on your smart device right now, and experience what professional photography is all about! The score is 10 out of 10.

Interface

The DJI GO app has a slightly confusing interface because, as I previously mentioned, there are dozens of various switches and buttons that might scare you for the first time. But the app has three extremely helpful overlays for users that you will get right after you launch the app at first. When you launch the app, you will see a homepage with a small panel bar at the bottom which has four icons like “Equipment,” “Library,” “Explore” and “Me.” The first one from the right is your DJI profile which gives you access to the DJI Forum, store, and settings. The “Explore” section opens up an online media gallery that displays all photos and videos other DJI operators have captured. The next “Library” stores all your media on the SD card in your drone and the last one probably doesn’t need to be explained. On the top right corner, you will find a help section where you can find answers to any questions about the app. The last icon on the screen is your flight log which looks like a small paper airplane on the left side, and that displays the total distance and time you have flown. All the setting for your drone are adjusted from the beginning, and it’s entirely up to you whether to change them or keep as they are. Whenever something goes wrong with the drone, a particular icon will get colored in red and notify you of the problem. But if you see that the menu says “Normal” and you don’t see anything red, then your drone is functioning properly, and you can send it into the sky.  The score is 9 out of 10.

Performance and User Experience

Downloading and launching the DJI GO app is pretty simple, but using it is also easy and will brighten up your flying experience. When you launch the app at first, you will get a helpful step by step instruction that explains to you how to connect your drone to the app and start using it right away. Once you set everything, your drone saves settings for future flights. Moreover, the app has a built-in Flight Record feature that allows the drone to synchronize flight data with your mobile device and keep it available to you anytime. The DJI GO app has a feature that lets you share your media with other users in just one tap. It also has some built-in customization options, so you can add music to any of your videos, use filters and make a video clip. The score is 8 out of 10.

Cross-platform Use

If you’re a happy owner of one of the drones like DJI Mavic Pro, DJI Phantom or a DJI Inspire, then you should try the DJI GO app which is available to download for any device that runs Android 4.1+ or iOS 8.0 and higher. The score is 9 out of 10.

The Verdict

Photography is a painstaking job and requires multiple shots to find that perfect snap. But not anymore! By using the DJI GO app, you can add the charm of professionalism in your photos and embrace them by taking shots at angles which are impossible to conquer manually. Now, it’s time for you to bid farewell to all those heavy, expensive pro tools and instead, install this app on your smart device. This app will eradicate the need for taking professional training, and still allow you to take marvelous shots with a few swipes of your fingers.
