With so many App Store and Google Play apps for guitar tuning, it’s not easy to decide which one will work well for you. For a long time, I tuned my guitar using a battery-powered tuner. No one could convince me that there was something better than my tuner on the market. This changed when I came across the Fender Tune app. Keep reading to find out why I adore it so much.
Fender Tune is a guitar tuning tool that uses a built-in microphone to assist guitar players in tuning their guitars for the perfect sound. It works the same way as a battery-powered guitar tuner. Basically, you are required to pluck your guitar strings and adjust the flat/sharp until you get the desired note. You can utilize several features to achieve the best sound for your guitar, bass or ukulele.
First and foremost, this leading app offers manual guitar tuning. This is useful to guitar players who can tune by ear. Alternatively, you can go for auto mode, and the app will recognize the string you’re trying to get in tune. There is also a chromatic mode that allows you to tune to the notes of your choice. These are all great features that any guitar player would benefit from. I would rate the app’s features at a 10/10.
Fender Tune has a very user-friendly interface that is extremely easy to use. All the different UI elements are labeled so that you can know what to do. I also love the fact that different settings are on different screens. This great organization makes the app easy to understand. I would rate the interface at a 10/10.
I have been using the Google Android version for a while now. I like that I can always tune my guitar successfully when I use the app. However, it’s impossible to tune if you are not in a silent room. Sometimes, even the slightest noise confuses the app since it detects all sounds in proximity. Apart from this, the app works fine, and the developers update it often with improvements. For instance, in the latest version, you can use the app to tune your ukulele as well. The score is 10/10.
Fender Tune is an app for all Android devices 5.0 and up, and iOS 10.0 or later (compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch). For this broad cross-platform use, I would rate it at a 10/10.
There are many guitar tuning iOS and Android apps on the market today, but you will not find one like Fender Tune. It is easy to use, has useful features and can be used on both iOS and Android mobile. The auto mode may be useless in noisy areas, but it works fine in quiet rooms. Get this fantastic application on App Store or Google Play Store.

I’ll test your utility app for its functionality, usability and consistency. I provide manual testing on Android and iOS – the physical devices, and use emulators for other OSes.
