FreeFlight Pro Review – Set up and Pilot Your Drone

Posted by on July 2, 2018

Our mobile phone lets us control everything in our lives, so why not drone fliers. If you have the toy drone Parrot Bebop, Bebop 2 or Disco drone, then this app will help you with its settings and pilot your device. This app acts as an intermediate between the flier and the drone and sometimes the controller and the glasses as well. The settings can be tuned according to the pilot’s expertise and experience, and the user can fly his or her accordingly without fearing a crash. FreeFlight Pro app lets you make your drone do turns, backflips and nosedive mid-air with just the touch of a finger. The bottom line is, the app allows you to be a pilot from the comfort of your home and experience the thrill of an air adventure with some taps of buttons and swipe of fingers.

What FreeFlight Pro Is

For an intuitive control over the drone, the app FreeFlight Pro offers a plenty of features and functionalities. There is an immersive piloting mode that has been integrated into the app. The same allows you to rejoice the first-person view with Parrot Cockpit Glasses. The same mode also lets you know the live telemetry data. There is also a feature of recording high-quality photos and videos. There is also an integrated parrot cloud into the app. Once you become the member of this particular feature, you can keep a track of all the recordings that you have captured with the drone, upload them on YouTube or Twitter directly from the interface of the app. There are certain pre-program autonomous flight plans for the drone that you can purchase in the app. Some other features of the app include looping the drone, one-touch flip, turn, etc. Lastly, for more precise control of the drone, the app lets you connect your smartphone to the parrot sky controller 2. The score is 9 out of 10.

Interface

Maneuvering your Parrot drone via the FreeFlight Pro app is as easy as it gets. The app displays everything on the screen – speed, distance, location, time of flight left, time and direction. When you are controlling the drone, there are two controls – one for switching directions and another for taking turns and flips. It is even better and easier to control when you have the glasses on and can see for yourself. The score of the interface is 9 out of 10.

Performance and User Experience

The Free Flight Pro app is a breeze to use for people of all ages and skill levels, and the accessible main page functions means that users can perform a variety of aerial functions all in one place. Users simply download and go, without having to go through a lengthy set-up process or step-by-step guide. The score is 9 out of 10.

Cross-platform Use

The app is compatible with the phones and other devices that are powered by the Android operating system and even iOS. The score is 9 out of 10.

Verdict

The photo and video taking option is a really great one, especially with the current updates like a new better-sorted gallery and Flight Director – a video editing assistant feature for creating a collage of the best captures. The Parrot Cloud is also a lovely community to share your adventure stories. Overall it is a good official piloting app for the Parrot drones.
