I bet you’ve heard about Periscope at least once since it isn’t a brand new app. Periscope lets you broadcast live videos and interact with followers via comments as well as watch other users’ streams. Since it’s a Twitter-based app, the streams can be pushed to your Twitter feed.
Periscope is one of the lead video-streaming tools made for making your own broadcasts and exploring the world via other ones. Making your own stream is pretty simple, and the app itself is rather easy-to-use.
You can watch popular live videos from around the world or search for a stream by location or
topic. Spend some time exploring the app settings. They allow you to choose who will see and comment your broadcasts – all users or only some of them. Before starting a stream, you can also make location settings, manage tweets, create restrictions over chat, and broadcast private content.
When watching live broadcasts, you can leave comments and express your opinion with hearts if you like the stream. You will receive comments as well while making your broadcast.
All streams are saved meaning that you can watch them later if you’ve missed them or don’t have time to watch live. The only problem is that you don’t know what is going to happen next unless you watch the stream so there might be some content you don’t want to see. There is a «report» feature that helps to remove videos that violate the terms of service. Keep in mind that other users can easily watch your old broadcasts, so you should be cautious about what to share with the world. My mark is 7/10.
In my opinion, the interface is rather intuitive and straightforward, and I didn’t have any problems learning how to use Periscope. Sure, you will need some time to get used to it, but I believe the app’s interface, as well as Periscope itself, is not so difficult to handle. That is great, especially since Periscope has various features and settings that you can explore. My personal favourite is the hearts, but that is the least that Periscope can offer you. My mark is 7/10.
I use Periscope to keep in touch with my friends and to watch broadcasts by a couple of my favourite actors, so I’m not a very active user. Nevertheless, I find this app pretty easy to use and intuitive to some extent.
The only thing that annoyed me a little is that after the last Periscope update the app crashed for some time so I couldn’t log in. But they’re constantly working on it, and they have fixed some bugs in the Periscope last version which is nice. My mark is 7/10.
The good news is that the Periscope app is compatible not only with iOS-based devices but also with Android-based ones. You can get it for free on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or any Android smartphone. Since it’s a video-streaming tool, I believe there is no need to have it on a computer or a laptop. My mark is 9/10.
I believe Periscope is a useful app for those who want to follow their favourite actors, singers, and other celebrities. It also lets you keep in touch with your friends sharing the news with them. Also, Periscope users can watch broadcasts from all around the world that gives you a great opportunity to see some interesting people, beautiful nature, unusual buildings and things. Just don’t forget to explore privacy settings and make them align with your own comfort level. Then – enjoy video streaming with Periscope!

I’ll test your utility app for its functionality, usability and consistency. I provide manual testing on Android and iOS – the physical devices, and use emulators for other OSes.
