Roku Review. Don’t Mind the Lost Remote Control

Posted by on July 11, 2017

It’s never fun when you lose the remote control. However, Roku owners are now lucky as the company now offers an app for all Android devices and iOS gadgets that doubles as an additional remote that would make the loss a less urgent issue. Not only does the toll serve as a remote, but the latest version turns out to be more future packed.

What Roku Is

Roku IPA and APK is a free app that converts your smartphone into the ideal streaming tool for Roku TVs and Roku streaming players. It allows you to use your tablet or phone as a remote control and you can browse hand-picked selections of great TV shows and movies using the What’s On feature. What’s more, you can use the mobile keyboard or voice to search for directors, actors, movies, and TV shows. I can use the app to launch my favorite channels from my Roku Android app and cast music, videos, and photos to my TV via Play on Roku. The features section scores a 9.5/10.

The App Store and Google Play app for iOS and Android respectively has an overall design that offers convenience and easy navigation. The user interface is quite straightforward too. For instance, the toolbar at the bottom of the screen offers fast access to the installed channels. You can also choose to use the standard layout of the remote control, so it won’t be hard for users to operate it, whether or not they are new ones. The simple interface scores a 9/10.

Performance and Usability

If you have something to say about this app and make own review – write me.

I find the app incredibly convenient since I don’t have to locate the remote control to watch my favorite shows. It is also responsive, efficient, and functions smoothly without lags. In fact, the tool has never crashed in any of my devices. The latest version comes with improvements on bug fixes and performance optimizations. On performance and ease of use, the app scores a 9.5/10.

Cross-platform Use

Roku app is compatible with both Android and iOS operating systems. The Android version varies with the specific devices, while the App Store version is compatible with iOS 8.0 and over. So the app is ideal for iPod touch, iPad, iPhone, as well as Android mobile devices. On the cross-platform use category, the app scores a 9.5/10.

My Verdict

Just like numerous other applications, the app may have its limitations. However, one fact is for sure, you no longer need the hard-to-locate remote control to watch your favorite shows on TV. Moreover, the regular updates also come with an array of performance enhancements and feature improvements. The fact that it’s available on both the Android and iOS versions is also a plus. I would recommend Roku APK and IPA as the leading tool in this genre of mobile applications.

Uncover issues before your customers do

I’ll test your utility app for its functionality, usability and consistency. I provide manual testing on Android and iOS – the physical devices, and use emulators for other OSes.
