Marco Polo Video Walkie Talkie is a great tool to stay in touch with your friends and family. You can exchange video messages expressing yourself and watching your loved ones. For me, this app is a way to feel closer to people I love.
Marco Polo is made purely for video messages. When you start recording your message, the recipient gets a notification, and they can decide whether to watch it live or to see your video later. I find this feature very convenient.
You can use filters, add a doodle or a text message to your video or even use a voice changer. I guess these features are just for fun, and that is exactly what you want from talking to close friends and beloved family members, right? Of course, if you have a serious or neutral conversation plain videos will be enough.
Also, if you’re a parent, you should teach your children how to use communication apps like that, how to interact with strangers, and what is appropriate to share with friends, family members, and people you don’t know so well. My mark is 7/10.
I find the interface rather easy to use and also bright and appealing. You can see all your friends who use the app and choose one of them to make a video for. Also, there is an invite button to add someone from your phone’s contact list. Once you installed the app, Marco Polo offers you to invite as many friends as you want. Be careful with that, or you might accidentally invite the entire contact list, as I almost did =) My mark is 7/10.
I got Marco Polo because of my sister who can’t get enough of it. We get used to talking via the app pretty soon, and I invited some close friends as well because I find it very convenient. When I don’t have time to type a message, I just make a video and send it to a person I need to talk to. One of the things I love the most is that you can’t interrupt the other person until they say everything they want to. And, likewise, no one will interrupt you =) My mark is 9/10.
Marco Polo Video Walkie Talkie is available on Android-based devices as well as iOS-based ones. So, you can get it for free on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or a smartphone on Android. I believe there is no need in a PC version of the app as Marco Polo is made for cases when you don’t have the time or just don’t want to sit and type in front of a computer. My mark is 9/10.
So, Marco Polo isn’t a social platform. It’s just a useful tool to stay in touch with your friends and relatives through the videos. When we’re used to communicating via text messages, Marco Polo tries to keep us together with actual voice and image. Of course, no app can replace actual human contact, but it’s good to know that there are such apps like Marco Polo that help to maintain relationships even if we’re too busy to meet in real life.
Uncover issues before your customers do
I’ll test your utility app for its functionality, usability and consistency. I provide manual testing on Android and iOS – the physical devices, and use emulators for other OSes.
